The report describes the tests conducted on two methods to fix MIC thermocouples inserted into holes of NBI components: the "peening" method will be used for the TCs to be installed on the ITER NBI duct, conductive, vacuum-compatible cement will be used instead to fix TCs in holes drilled on SPIDER beam dump hypervapotrons. Preliminary tests have been done on mock ups at RFX, test on a beam have been then performed on BATMAN at IPP. Tests have shown that the cement is a reliable method for SPIDER beam dump TC and that peening, though slower, is still sufficiently fast for the purpose of duct TCs. This work falls mainly under Task 3.3, but partially also under Task 5.2, as some tests were conducted at BATMAN.

Abstract
This work falls mainly under Task 3.3, but partially also under Task 5.2, as some tests were conducted at BATMAN.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
