Groundwaters data recorded in the Po Plain in the periods 1910-1933 and 1976-2013 have been analyzed by PCA techniques with the purpose to identify possible earthquake precursory patterns eventually related to other geophysical parameters. Gas components time series recorded in Northern and Central Italy have been also analyzed. Natural gas contribution to possible transient greenhouse effect thermal anomalies due to CO2 and CH4 emissions has also been compared to artificial greenhouse effect gas contribution identifying areas suitable for eventual TIR anomaly detection. Abstract

Temperature data recorded by meteorologic stations have also been processed by PCA techniqes and compared with geographic distribution of CH4 gas emissions.
