Improved and enhanced stakeholders participation in reinforcement of electricity grid: critical review of existing methodologies

The Deliverable is focused on a critical review of the methods concerning the assessment of risks and benefits of grid infrastructures, the comparison of different alternative options and the spatial representation of the effect, identifying the main strengths and weaknesses of the existing methodologies. The document describes: (1) the potential socio-environmental effects of power transmission infrastructures, (2) methodologies for life cycle assessment of environmental impacts of power transmission infrastructures, (3) multi-criteria methods for the comparison of projects and policies and how they have been used in energy problems, (4) how WebGIS tools have been used within participatory assessment approaches.
