This report presents the results of simulations related to the flow field around a snorkel mast. The main objective is the determination of the pattern and extension of the spray around the deplumer. The tests were carried out under CALZONI s.r.l. Order No. 320112777, 22 September 2011. The simulations are computed as a complement of the experimental tests performed in the INSEAN Towing Tank n° 1 facility. General configurations of the simulations carried out are given in the "test programme" (page 23). The numerical tests are very challenging because of the high deformation of the free surface and the necessity to simulate correctly the water jets generated for high forward speed condition. An innovative and promising numerical technique has been adopted for such a problem. Details on the mathematical model as well as on the limitations of the present implementation are given in the following.
