This is the final report on the activities carried out under le project LIFE+ "Environmentally friendly natural products instead of cloroparaffines in the fatting phase of the tanning cycle - ECOFATTING" (LIFE10 ENV/IT/000364) over the period between 01/01/2012 and 31/12/2013. The present project aims at demonstrating the use of an innovative technology for the fatting phase of the leather tanning process, with the goal of producing new or existing products with a significantly higher eco-sustainability profile. The specific technical goal of the project consists in the demonstration of use of a new category of products of natural origin, capable of substituting chlorosulfonated currently used in the fatting phases during the leather tanning cycle.
