Deliverable D3.4 reports the activities carried out in WP3 Task 3.4. This Task is focused mainly in develop and validate models to improve machining processes. The Task Leader is UPV/EHU, whose main aim was the development of mechanistic models to predict forces, torque and stability during turning and milling processes on large scale parts, such as GAMESA case (AD2). POLIMI focused their efforts on develop simulation models integrating machine and process information for the micromilling and microextrusion processes, such as ENKI case (AD3). GAMESA and ENKI, as end users, also collaborated in this Task 3.4 establishing the requirements and giving the necessary information to develop a useful set of models.
