This activity includes an analysis of the area of Brindisi to individuate the main pollution sources acting on the area, with special focus on atmospheric particulate and on the harbour area. The report includes the results of the activities performed in WP 4 (Action 4.2) by Partner 3 (Dipartimento di Scienze e Tecnologie Biologiche e Ambientali of the University of Salento) and Partner 4 (Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate of the National Research Council, ISAC-CNR). The information, preliminarly collected for the area of Brindisi, were used to plan the measurement campaign of the CESAPO project in Italy, performed in the summer 2012, and to plan the necessary chemical analysis of aerosol samples collected during the measurement campaign and the corresponding analytical methodology.
