While the theme of Sustainability Reporting within Corporate Social Responsibility has been widely considered in the scholarly literature, little attention has been given to the observation of ethical integrity vs corruption and to the use of social media in CSR communication. Our research aims at observing from the above mentioned viewpoint the dynamics of some cases regarding Finnish and Italian companies, in order to point out strengths and weaknesses, similarities and differences between the two countries to uncover how sustainability reporting can achieve the goal of communicating, with the help of social media, a wide range of sustainability related activities and possibly help the fight against non-ethical behaviors.
