Gra?ce a? ses caracte?ristiques, VisualCarte 1.0 est un outil flexible qui peut trouver son application dans toute analyse qui demande l'acce?s et l'affichage de fac?on simple et dynamique d'informations ge?ore?fe?rence?es sans devoir faire recours a? des logiciels commerciaux plus cou?teux et complexes. Le logiciel repose sur une banque des donne?es organise?e par pays et par domaines d'information (Agriculture, Population, Elevage, Risque etc.) selon un mode?le hie?rarchique. A travers sa base de Me?tadonne?es, il permet l'acce?s aux informations gra?ce a? la pre?sence d'une interface conviviale par laquelle l'utilisateur a la possibilite? de choisir, pour chaque pays, le domaine de la recherche et le the?me a? visualiser. En plus, ce logiciel avec sa banque de donne?es repre?sente un support valide a? la formation de base dans l'utilisation courante des outils tels que le Syste?me d'Information Ge?ographique. VisualCarte relies on a database organised per country and domain (Agriculture, Population, Livestock, Risk, etc) in a hierarchical way. It allows - via its Meta-DataBase - to access data through an interface enabling the user to choose, for each country, the requested domain and the theme to be displayed. Furthermore, this software with its database represents a valid support for basic training on the use of recent tools such as the Geographic Information Systems. This has as goal - among others - to facilitate multidisciplinary approach of National and International analyses, to support the synergy existing between experts involved in the activities of agro-meteorological monitoring and early warning within the framework of the food security.
