EXLORE- EXTENDED EXPLOITATION OF EUROPEAN RESEARCH PROJECTS' KNOWLEDGE AND RESULTS

This exploitation Handbook aims to provide theoretical and practical information relevant for the exploitation of R&D results. It is based on the outcomes and experience of the EXPLORE European project. The EXPLORE project aimed at unleashing the potential of the portfolio of research results developed in recent European R&D projects in the area of Production Technologies. EXPLORE promotes and supports the exploitation of R&D results, mainly by gathering resources to disseminate these results (models, case studies, demonstrators), prepare its commercial exploitation and promote cross-fertilization, education and standardization activities. To this end, the exploitation Handbook acts as a guide on how to best use the EXPLORE framework and exploitation platform, including its data base of project results. Moreover, the Handbook provides the reader with useful information regarding the basic principles of exploitation process of R&D results, as well as recommendations for improving the exploitation process. The Handbook also includes some case studies showing challenges and success stories related with the exploitation of R&D results. Through the integration of all this theoretical and practical information, the Handbook provides the readers with the knowledge required to use the results of EXPLORE project and implement efficient exploitation processes.
