Embedded in the Agreement on the Neutral Beam Test Facility between RFX and KIT, the activities of WP2015 and WP2016 comprise the support of RFX by KIT at the verification and the experimental validation of a concept for the MITICA neutraliz er gas supply. For this task the design of the neutralizer gas nozzle, provided by RFX was completely characterised and tested in the TransFlow facility at KIT under all relevant MITICA conditions. Furthermore, an alternative design solution was specifically developed to verify testing conditions in the TransFlow facility, keeping the 1:1 MITICA geometrical design of the nozzle aperture.

Abstract
