The goal of WP6 is to obtain model test data for the validation of WP5 computation procedure. In this context, the object of the present task is focused on flow velocity measurement around the model ship and in the near wake. To accomplish this task, a Stereo-PIV investigation at the B600 towing tank of DGA is planned using INSEAN underwater measuring probe; couples of two-frame images will be evaluated to obtain instantaneous 3C- 2D vector fields. A full analysis will provide statistical quantities useful for CFD code validation.
