The micro mould for micro filter production is the result of design, fabrication and characterization of a micro-filter for hearing aid, dialysis media and inhaler. The microfilter is fabricated by micro injection moulding process in polymeric material (Polyoxymethilene - POM) using a steel mould manufactured by micro electrical discharge machining process adopting a novel and combined approach of micro-milling and micro-sinking. The micro-feature specification consists in a diameter of 2.3 mm, a thickness of 0.2 mm, it is composed by a mesh of 80 µm and a gap between pillars of 70 µm.
