This document contains the progress status report of my PhD project in Neuroscience at the end of the first year of the program. There are references to courses and seminars proposed and attended during this year (educational activity) and a detailed description of all the activities and progresses of my reasearch. In particular, the description, results and future work on the objective and automatic assessment of UPDRS upper limbs tasks; some preliminary results on the "@home monitoring" and "motor rehabilitation" applications of the upper limbs; some preliminary results on the objective and automatic assessment of UPDRS lower limbs and postural stability tasks.
