3rd RESEARCH CONTRACT BETWEEN SORTECH AG AND CNR - ITAE FINAL REPORT OF THE RESEARCH ACTIVITY

The present report describes the activity carried out in the framework of the third Contract signed between Sortech AG and ITAE, registered at ITAE N° 389 in date 15/02/2016, which include the realization and the test of small cold sorption storage system. The activity within the present contract was divide into two main sub-tasks: activity on an innovative cold storage using thermochemical technology, and testing of hybrid chillers. The first activity has consisted in the realisation of a testing bench for the cold storage system and the realisation of tests on two different types of adsorbers: a pelletized adsorber filled with commercial FAM Z02 zeolite, and an aluminium fibre exchanger on which zeolite has been directly synthesized. The second activity include the testing of a hybrid chiller, realised by cascade assembling of an adsorption module and a vapour compression chiller employing R-410a.
