The present report describes the activity carried out in the framework of the third Contract signed between Sortech AG and ITAE, which include the testing of a hybrid chiller, realised by cascade assembling of an adsorption module and a vapour compression chiller employing R-410a. The installation and first starting of the chiller are described, together with the tests under defined boundary conditions for a complete assessment of the benefits arising from the cascade assembly.
