Carbon 1s PES and NEXAFS of standard PAH molecules have been acquired in gas phase after vaporization in a conventional oven inside the multipurpose set-up of the Gas Phase beamline. The molecules analysed were isomeric PAH with 4 rings (C18H12, MW=228 Da),: crisene , tetracene, benzo( c ) fenentrene, in order to check the effect of the different spatial arrangements of the rings At least, also coronene was analysed in order to check the performance of a fully condensed aromatic structure (7-rings at their higher condensation degree). For all the PAH also Vacuum Ultra-violet (VUV) PhotoIonization Mass Spectrometry with TOF mass spectra at different ionization energy and PEPICO spectra have been acquired. In the last part of the beamtime, it was also tested the possibility of mounting a burner carried from IRC-CNR on the GAS PHASE line, equipping it with a sampling line able to withdraw the exhaust from the flame, carrying them to the chamber gas inlet system. Mass spectra at 22 eV have been acquired.
