WP3 will contribute to understanding of user integration to company-driven open sustainability innovation across four European regions (Nordic countries, Central, Eastern and Southern Europe). The aim of WP3 is to identify what types of organizational forms, culture, structures, management styles promote (vs. hinder) the process of user integration. The steps involve (1) creating a reference pool of European enterprises that integrate users to the open innovation process of sustainable products, services or business models; (2) identifying key elements, phases and the extent of user innovation in selected 16 best-practice cases; (3) identifying the so-called organizational enablers of user integration to open sustainability innovation process. "Intrapreneurship" will be given special attention as a potentially prominent factor in facilitating the shift between employee participation in company-driven innovations to user entrepreneurship (link to WP4).
