DOREMI: Validation Plan (D2.3)

The deliverable D2.3 "Validation Plan" is aimed at operationalizing the D2.2 "Active Aging Lifestyle Protocol" and defining the validation procedure of the DOREMI prototype. To this end, the deliverable distinguishes two different validation activities: the technological validation of DOREMI gamified environment to assess the functioning and the usability of the technological development of the project; and the trial validation of the DOREMI system in a real condition of use in order to demonstrate the applicability of the tool and its effectiveness in increasing the quality of life of older people with mild cognitive impairment. Key element of the deliverable is the technological validation plan of the DOREMI gamified environment that includes: WSN monitoring and smart environment validation; validation of the accuracy of the activity recognition system; validation plan of devices and sensors; validation of system interoperability; and the gamified environment validation plan. Another key element is the trials' plan that includes: the pre-conditions to conduct the validation process; the related guidelines; the parameters to be measured, their metrics and the methodology for data collection and treatments; the timing for approval of the Ethics Committee of the pilot site.
