The objective of the present report is to present generic basic designs of Regional Research Vessels (RRVs) based on guidelines developed in terms of noise and vibration reduction, work deck installations, and bubble sweep-down avoidance within the context of the project (EUROFLEETS2), and including technologies ready to be implemented on RRVs. Specifically, two generic basic designs for multi-purpose RRVs have been developed, both taking advantage of outcomes obtained from task "Specification and guidelines for Regional Research Vessels". Specifically, technological solutions and concepts that might be take into account and included in the design of a new RRV are presented along with the ultimate designs and general arrangements of two projects. Hydrodynamic performances of the optimized hull shapes are also discussed.
