This report describes the activities carried out during the second QST- Consorzio RFX Joint Experiments, which took place on the NITS device at QST Naka during December 2017. The main goal of these experiments was the achievement of complete beamlet deflection compensation by the use of the Asymmetric Deflection Compensation Magnets (ADCM). Despite a series of troubles with the NITS acceleration power supply, which limited the maximum available acceleration voltage, a number of beam pulses of sufficient optics quality were realized, which allowed the beam characterization using the CFC target. A preliminary analysis of the experimental results confirmed that the goal of complete beamlet deflection compensation has been achieved. However, the planned parameter scans were realized only in minimal part, due to very limited degrees of freedom and time remaining.

Abstract
However, the planned parameter scans were realized only in minimal part, due to very limited degrees of freedom and time remaining.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
