This document deals with the identification of the functional requirements and with the analysis of the design solutions developed to control the dimensional chains of the beamline components for MITICA, the prototype of the ITER neutral beam injectors. The three beamline components are the neutraliser and electron dump , the electrostatic residual ion dump, and the calorim e ter. The contents of this document have been developed referring to the technical specifications drawings that include requirements for th e manufacturing of individual parts and interface requirements for ensuring the functionality with the interfaced elements like the vacuum vessel, the remote handling equipment of ITER , and the particle beam interacting with the panels of the components.
