This deliverable presents the results of the activities related to HORTISED Action B1 concerning the site preparation, sampling, analysis and characterization of sediments. The sediment, after the phytoremediation process carried out in Agriport project had a good nutrient content, biological activity, and low contamination level (only a little residual organic contamination), a landfarming process (consisting in the periodical sediment aeration by mechanical moving) has been selected as appropriate treatment to make sediments suitable for the subsequent horticulture trial.
