Abstract
The presence of plasma and its parameters will be m onitored in the components of the beam-line, by means of specific electrostatic probes. Pairs of sensors, with the possibility to be configured either as double or as two single Langmuir probes providing local ion dens ity and electron temperature measurements, will be employed in the neutralizer and in the residual ion dump. Moreover, electrodes measuring the secondary electron emission in the calorimeter will be instal led. This document presents the motivation and requireme nts of these diagnostics and the sensor layout on e ach beam-line component. The design and technical cons traints for the sensors on Neutralizer and Residual Ion Dump are described in detail. Furthermore, the conceptual design of sensors on Calorimeter is introduced.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
