MITICA INTERLOCK TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION OF CENTRAL AND HNB PLANT INTERLOCK SYSTEM

This document contains the technical specification for the procurement of the Interlock System for the MITICA test bed in the ITER Neutral Beam Test Facility. The MITICA Interlock System takes care of the global functions of equipment protection during the operation of the MITICA test bed, providing continuous monitoring of abnormal events, automated protection actions on plant units, and logging of events and data relevant for MITICA equipment protection. The MITICA Interlock System is required to perform slow and fast protection functions. The MITICA Interlock System also provides interlocking functions on the basis of a predefined set of MITICA operating states. The MITICA Interlock System neither manages nor implements any function related to Personnel Safety. The first issue is intended as a basis for discussion and not a ready for tender documentation. Many aspects (hardware selection, scope of the supply, scheduling) are preliminary and will be finalized in 2019. For this reason, contract management annexes (Annex A) are not included in this first issue.
