The objective of this Product Specification Document (PSD) is to provide a description of the data products obtained by the surface soil moisture (SSM) retrieval algorithms. The description concerns the specification of the geophysical data, data structure, format, quality indicators and metadata employed. A compact scheme of the retrieval algorithms is firstly given. Successively, the description of the output products is provided.
