In Exploit-S-1 project, the objective of the data base is to centralize all the pre-processed EO, the output of the retrieval algorithms and ground data. The data base has been designed in order to serve, from the one side, the algorithm validation and, from the other, the requirements of the webgis service. In this document, the data base structure is illustrated and examples of SQL queries and outputs are provided. Furthermore, the optimal GAMMA pre-processing of Sentinel-1 time series for surface parameter retrieval is detailed. Finally, the characteristics of a global data base of SSM maps derived from NASA/SMAP, ESA/SMOS and EUMETSAT/ASCAT that has been compiled to support the regional scale validation are described.
