Framework Contract F4E-OFC-531 Specific Contract F4E-OFC-531-02 - Quarter 4: Activity Progress Report

Despite the summer break and the simultaneous closure of OFC-531-01, most tasks register some progress: closure of the design phase for CRDS, Neutrons and MITICA probes and start of the procurements for STRIKE, Neutrons and MITICA probes, while for MITICA thermal sensors the design activity has just started and for Tomography it will start in Q5. Main outcomes are: - D1.6.1 CRDS final design & technical specification report approved - D1.7.4 Neutrons final design & technical specification report approved - D2.2.1 Probes prototype final design & technical specification report approved Progress Meeting were held on 13 July (M4) and 1 October (M5). The updated project schedule is attached to this report. It has been completely revised taking into account the boundary condition given by the SPIDER schedule, with operation planned in October 2018 and from January to about June 2019 and installations occurring typically outside operation. This revision also implies that the contract will be extended till 31-12-2019.
