La tesi esplora metodi pratici per il profiling di applicazioni scientifiche dal punto di vista dell'efficienza energetica utilizzando performance counters e registri forniti da processori Intel, da acceleratori grafici NVIDIA e da letture esterne acquisite da sistemi di monitoring della piattaforma di calcolo utilizzata come testbed.
