HYBUILD is an EU Horizon 2020 which will develop two innovative compact hybrid electrical/thermal storage systems for stand connected buildings. Dynamic simulations of thermal and electric systems integrated into the building become fundamental for analysis of complex systems. Especially when dealing with storages, both thermal and electric, static calculations are not enough for studying all the involved effects. Moreover, the influence that one technology's behaviour has on the whole system can be analysed if all the parts of a system are simulated together. For these reasons, this report presents the modular structure used for developing the simulation environment where each component and sub-system of the HYBUILD solution constitute a model, building included. This approach allows for updating a sub-system model to develop the whole layout model before designing all the parts, or to replace a component model without losing the already created connections.
