Agroforestry systems are limited or promoted by certain environmental and socio-economic characteristics. To promote a broader adoption of agroforestry systems it is important to understand the broader socio-economic conditions and farmers' opinion, to understand which factors influence agroforestry in different regions. This task aims at exploring which environmental and socio-economic characteristics are the most significant for the successful adoption of agroforestry. In order to meet the objectives of this task, the approach has been to use two complementary methodologies: oGrounded theory: Qualitative interviews to farmers implementing and not implementing AF, grouped by different subsystems across Europe oAnalytic Network Process ANP: Questionnaire to experts to determine what are the most relevant criteria to choose for implementing different alternatives of AF
