This document describes and initially assesses a method to classify irrigated/not-irrigated fields by using multi-temporal SSM maps at high resolution. The algorithm works in a block-wise manner applied at two scales and exploits the contrast between SSM observed at the two spatial scales. The assessment is carried out over a data set collected over the Riaza (Spaign) irrigation distric in 2017. The performance of the algorithm has been analysed and discussed in two representative dates.
