The Istituto di Elaborazione della Informazione provided to study and design a dedicated workstation, called ThIm, for the processing of data pertaining to thermal inspection in non destructive testing of components and materials. Both hardware and software components of the workstation were considered, so that a customized machine has been realized onto which special modules and procedures for data processing and analysis have been implemented.
