Non-destructive imaging of seed structure for high-resolution morphological phenotypingisn't a standardized procedure. It requires the definition of protocols for sample scanningsettings and definition of image analysis algorithms to be used for obtaining properquantitative information. Scanning protocols for bulk and single seed samples are defined anddescribed in this report as well as examples of application of selected quantitative parametersuseful for the characterization of novel traits for seed phenotyping. Outcomes from this reportwill allow to better address the screening of the studied cultivars and genotypes.
