Abstract

In this report, we give a description of the different tools which have been designed and implemented at Pisa for (i) corpus construction, management, annotation and querying, and (ii) diclionary and lexical database acquisition and processing activities. Almost alI of tbe modules described belong to the PìSystem, a fully integrated modular set of 1001s, developed over the last ten years at the ILC to meet the various needs of titerary and Iinguistic computing. Most of tbese tools are now being integrated into a Workstation that provides functions offering online access to both mono- and bilingual text corpora and lexical databases for indepth search operations and analyses.
