The parsing software for the Cobuild Student's Dictionary is now partly developed and the basic structure of its output has benn largely determined. This interim report specifies draft output formats for the main definition types identified in Deliverable 2 (The Semantics of Definitions, Part1). Because of the different processingneeds of the Pisa and Bochum teams, the files delivered to them from Birmingham may ultimately differ in appearance, but the principles of analysis will be identifical.
