The setup and the acquisition system for acceleration and pressure sensors, for the motion position triggering of a cone-shaped module and tha acquisition of data and communication towards external part of a deprussurized metal chamber performed at CNR-INSEAN, (now CNR-INM)are presented. The whole set-up is placed inside a steel structure whit a cylindrical symmetry with the cone-shaped bottom (CONE), in order to simulate in scale a life boat. The CONE is free to fall vertically towars a free-surface water in a deprussurized chamber in order to take into account Euler number, i.e. the ratio between the ullage pressure and a typical dynamic pressure of the flow, for a proper scaling of the hydrodynamic loads on a structure when air-cavity phenomena occur.
