In [1], [2] and [3] methods to compute the solutions X^* of an undetermined linear system having least distance from a point p are studied and error bounds depending on the condition number of the system matrix and on the Euclidean distance of p from X^* are derived. In this paper, we show that better bounds can be derived if the direction of the vector p-x^* is also taken into account.

Abstract
In [1], [2] and [3] methods to compute the solutions X^* of an undetermined linear system having least distance from a point p are studied and error bounds depending on the condition number of the system matrix and on the Euclidean distance of p from X^* are derived. In this paper, we show that better bounds can be derived if the direction of the vector p-x^* is also taken into account.File in questo prodotto:
