This paper describes the project and the implementation of a transactional environment used to test the Cnet error recovery mechanism. This environment has been implemented on the Olivetti M40 computer. Two different types of transactions are described: conversational transactions running in a sequential environment and concurrent transactions reading and updating a common set of stable objects.
