The diagnostic calorimeter STRIKE will be used to characteriz e the SPIDER beam, by measuring beam uniformity, beam let divergence and stripping losses . The calorimeter is installed inside the SPIDER vacuum vessel and can be moved along two directions. In view of the proper installation of STRIKE inside SPIDER vacuum vessel, t he present report describes the metrological activities devoted to: - checking support structure alignment - surveying trolley positions - defining nominal positions along X axis of trolleys - reconstructing centre SPIDER vessel working reference frame - aligning panels - checking position repeatability with motor systems installed. For this application, a laser tracker was used (for details see the annex). In principle, the instrument calibration is not necessary for this application. Anyway the latest calibration of the instrument was performed in February 2017 and has a validity of one year. Furthermore, before starting the measurements the instrument automatically performs its own on - site calibration by measuring one or more fiducial points. Abstract
The results of the measurements are contained in the annexed document.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
