By assessing how Earth Observation (EO) products are accurate is a fundamental task to develop a SPACE-O service meeting the user needs. To the aim, this report summarizes the validation activities that have been performed in order to measures how satellite products generated within the project agreed to field and modelled data. Satellite data for which the validation is presented are those acquired from Sentinel-2 and Landsat-8 being these the two sensors mainly used in the project. The satellite validation includes both radiometric measurements (i.e. to measure the uncertainty of the atmospheric correction) and water quality data (e.g. turbidity, lake surface water temperature).

Abstract
By assessing how Earth Observation (EO) products are accurate is a fundamental task to develop a SPACE-O service meeting the user needs. To the aim, this report summarizes the validation activities that have been performed in order to measures how satellite products generated within the project agreed to field and modelled data. Satellite data for which the validation is presented are those acquired from Sentinel-2 and Landsat-8 being these the two sensors mainly used in the project. The satellite validation includes both radiometric measurements (i.e. to measure the uncertainty of the atmospheric correction) and water quality data (e.g. turbidity, lake surface water temperature).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
