This report describes the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) activity done for the Job Order 27-MAR-2017: "Simulation on hull of a recreational boat". Numerical simulations of the flow around the INSEAN model C2596 are performed. Three conditions have been tested, namely 4 m/s, 7 m/s and 10 m/s. Simulations have been carried out with one degree of freedom, that is heaving, at the same trim angle as measured during the experiments. In this report, the model is considered without lowercase. Results are shown in terms of total resistance, pressure distributions on the model surface and flow field visualizations. For the resistance, both convergence and uncertainty analysis ("Verification") and a comparison with experimental data ("Validation") will be reported. Otherwise, a qualitative comparison with experimental pictures, when available, will be shown.
