The activities carried out in 2017 under the RF R&D subtask (5.8) of the 2017 Work Programme were focused in particular on the commissioning, first operation and further development of the High Voltage Radio Frequency Test Facility (HVRFTF): a simple, accessible and flexible test bed to characterize the dielectric strength in vacuum of the RF drivers of SPIDER and MITICA ion sources and address the issues related to their voltage hold off when subjected to their operational radiofrequency E - fields and pressure.

Abstract
The activities carried out in 2017 under the RF R&D subtask (5.8) of the 2017 Work Programme were focused in particular on the commissioning, first operation and further development of the High Voltage Radio Frequency Test Facility (HVRFTF): a simple, accessible and flexible test bed to characterize the dielectric strength in vacuum of the RF drivers of SPIDER and MITICA ion sources and address the issues related to their voltage hold off when subjected to their operational radiofrequency E - fields and pressure.File in questo prodotto:
