Almost all programming languages allow the possibility of an unrecoverable program crashes at run-time. This happens also in the case of Ada. A wider consideration of safety issues during the language maintenance process and in the development of the language implementations would allow to improve the current level of program reliability without any drastic restriction of the language features.
