During the second year, in collaboration with the Hungarian group of research, the glycerol etherification has been performed under microwave reaction conditions in order to study the possibility to obtain biofuel product under mild conditions. The reaction has been carried out both in presence of tert-butanol (TBA) and butanol (BUT) as O-alkylant agent to obtain oxygenate additives for biodiesel formulation.
