The volume constitutes the collection of contributions that represent the final result of the Garden Project, part of the Macro Project "Migrations & Mediterranean. The Sardinian Observatory" (CNR- ISEM / MiPAAF). During its development, the Garden Project has been a fruitful research laboratory, whose interdisciplinarity has been declined with the collaboration of scholars and researchers from the CNR and the University, as well as with the participation of numerous social actors who, for various reasons, have enthusiastically joined this initiative. The results of the research and the multidisciplinary approach adopted have been disseminated thanks to numerous conferences, round tables and a training course in horticultural practice, the results of which are published in this miscellaneous volume which appears stimulating both from a scientific point of view and for the numerous research prospects reported. The volume is edited by Alessandra Cioppi, scientific director of the aforementioned project with the collaboration of the research fellow of the project itself, Maria Elena Seu.
Il volume costituisce la raccolta dei contributi che rappresentano il risultato finale del Progetto Orto, facente parte del Macro Progetto "Migrazioni & Mediterraneo. L'Osservatorio Sardegna" (CNR- ISEM/ MiPAAF). Il progetto Orto durante il suo percorso è stato un fecondo laboratorio di ricerca, la cui interdisciplinarietà si è declinata con la collaborazione di studiosi e ricercatori del CNR e dell'Università, nonché con la partecipazione di numerosi attori sociali i quali, a vario titolo, hanno aderito con entusiasmo a questa iniziativa. I risultati delle ricerche e dell'approccio multidisciplinare adottato sono stati divulgati grazie a numerosi Convegni, tavole rotonde e un Corso formativo di pratica orticola, i cui risultati sono pubblicati nel presente volume miscellaneo che appare stimolante sia dal punto di vista scientifico sia per le numerose prospettive di ricerca segnalate.
