The 'Experimental evaluation of sensors and array' tasks [1] foresees the execution of towing tests on different TLA systems at several speeds within the range of 1m/s up to 7.5m/s and depth between 5m and 10m. The experimental setup requires the use of a towed submersed body, acting as a depressor, to keep the TLA at fixed depths. In the present document the design phases and the experimental evaluation are presented. After a brief introduction on the approach adopted for the design, explaining the path to the selected solution, the final design is shown supported by results of simulations and test performed at INSEAN towing tank.

Abstract
The 'Experimental evaluation of sensors and array' tasks [1] foresees the execution of towing tests on different TLA systems at several speeds within the range of 1m/s up to 7.5m/s and depth between 5m and 10m. The experimental setup requires the use of a towed submersed body, acting as a depressor, to keep the TLA at fixed depths. In the present document the design phases and the experimental evaluation are presented. After a brief introduction on the approach adopted for the design, explaining the path to the selected solution, the final design is shown supported by results of simulations and test performed at INSEAN towing tank.File in questo prodotto:
