Informal social aggregations in form of Communities, i.e. people aggregated around a common knowledge or territorial dominion, are gaining importance in many productive contexts of our lives. In this respect, the economic analysis pursues different and sometimes conflicting interpretations. This text gives a review of the opinions and main argumentations provided by different analytical frameworks.
