Diagnostic tests confirmed that the Flavescence dorée-infected broad bean plants were indeed infected, and that the protocol advised to SAGEA for acquisition, latent period, and inoculation were able to provide more than 80% infective S. titanus for the experiment. Also, scheduling the FD diagnosis at 8 weeks post inoculation, according to a precedent experience by IPSP-CNR, was sufficient for identification of the infected plants and quantification of the phytoplasma loads. As for the different treatments, only T4 provided some reduction in the number of the infected plants and in FD phytoplasma load in a cv specific manner.

Abstract
Diagnostic tests confirmed that the Flavescence dorée-infected broad bean plants were indeed infected, and that the protocol advised to SAGEA for acquisition, latent period, and inoculation were able to provide more than 80% infective S. titanus for the experiment. Also, scheduling the FD diagnosis at 8 weeks post inoculation, according to a precedent experience by IPSP-CNR, was sufficient for identification of the infected plants and quantification of the phytoplasma loads. As for the different treatments, only T4 provided some reduction in the number of the infected plants and in FD phytoplasma load in a cv specific manner.File in questo prodotto:
