Some large out-of-plane deformations were measured on the MITICA PDP prototype after thermal treatments, hence it was proposed to modify the planned heat treatments during the manufacturing. Aiming to estimate the effects of the heat treatments, in terms of residual stresses and related out-of-plane deformations, the PDP was simulated by means of a set of 2D time-dependent elasto-plastic models.
